FAQ
Frequently asked questions about this project.
Is this list opinionated?
Somewhat. Every comparison tries to state trade-offs explicitly rather than declaring a single winner, but the criteria chosen are still a point of view.
How often is content updated?
Comparisons are revisited whenever a covered tool ships a major release or the ecosystem shifts meaningfully.
Why are the paragraphs so short?
Each section is meant to be a quick-reference summary, not a tutorial — enough to know how a language or framework approaches a topic and whether it’s worth digging further, not a full explanation.
Why does git hosting look different from everything else?
Everywhere else, one file compares several items on a single topic
(e.g. languages/concurrency.md covers every language). Git hosting
platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) each get their own subfolder of
single-subject pages instead, since a platform-specific page like
“CI/CD” doesn’t have other items to compare against within the same
file.
Can I suggest a comparison?
Yes — open an issue describing the language, framework, or tool you’d like to see added, and which existing topic files it should be added to.
